Directions for Use

CUTANIA^® AllerDUO Pack
CUTANIA^® AllerBath and CUTANIA^® AllerSpray can be used daily. Both products can be combined to increase compliance. CUTANIA^® AllerDUO pack provides an affordable and convenient solution. The daily application of CUTANIA^® AllerSpray reduces the frequency of therapeutical baths from 2-3 times per week to 1 bath every 10 days.

Mechanism of Action

Oatmeal protein penetrates the hair, helps to protect it and to maintain its structure. Avenanthramides are polyphenols contained in the oat kernel that inhibit the release of proinflammatory cytokines and release of pro-inflammatory cytokines and histamine. It has been shown to possess anti-inflammatory and antipruritic properties. Other studies show that the use of emollient products with hydrolyzed oat can help in the management of atopic dermatitis, decreasing the need for corticosteroids.
Glycolic acid as an Alpha-Hydroxy Acid (AHA) is a natural water-soluble acid derived from fruits and plants. AHAs have excellent exfoliant and keratolytic properties and help to remove the top layers of dead skin cells. Glycolic acid is the smallest and most potent AHA and penetrates the skin more effectively. Glycolic acid exhibits a strong pH-dependent antibacterial activity by disrupting bacterial cell membranes. Glycolic acid is also a humectant.
Ceramides provide a healthy protective epidermal barrier as they play a role in normal barrier function and dermis cell organization.
Glycerine provides an extra-moisturizing effect to damaged skin.
